I established Glen Titmus Violins in 1995 to provide good second-hand instruments at affordable prices. It is a one-man operation. I do all the repairs and set-ups, buy all the instruments and bows, handle all the selling and delivery. Because of this I can keep overheads down and offer instruments at lower prices than most dealers. I now also keep a selection of new instruments and bows, cases, strings and other accessories.

From January 1st 2010 I have returned to operating from a workshop in Leonard Street, Leek, where I am available (by appointment please) during normal working hours and beyond. I also make regular visits to my West Country base in Dawlish Warren, Devon, so if this is more convenient for you, please call or email me to see when I'll next be there. I will be attending a number of festivals and events during the year and a list of these will be available shortly.

• I offer a full repair service on all violin family instruments and bows.
• I am happy to give written quotations.
• I charge £25.00 per hour for labour, and any fittings as per my price list. 
• I also can provide written insurance valuations, at a flat fee of £10.00 for straight forward valuations.
  • For something really unusual, which needs considerable research to provide a realistic valuation there can be an extra charge of up to £25.00 for the time, but that is the maximum.
