This is a list of cases, strings, fittings and accessories that I try to keep in stock at all times.
However, due to the whims of manufacturers and wholesalers, I can’t guarantee
to have them.If they are out of stock I will normally order them and send them
on. If there is a problem, I will let you know.
I can also get a large number of items that I don’t stock, so it’s always worth calling if
there is something you need.
For second-hand instruments and bows and books click on the link or back to the main page.
To order, phone or email me. I will make arrangements to get the items to you (by post if possible) and will send you an invoice for them, plus postage (or carriage) at cost. Then you send me a cheque within 14 days. For strings, I make a standard charge for postage of 48p for up to three sets (or part sets). If you wish to pay by credit card, please email me.

I have been experimenting with pickups for some while (though I won't claim to have tried them all)! Most piezo pickups fit in the bridge and don't get the full sound of the violin. The microphone systems give a much truer sound but feed back like crazy when the monitors are turned up! Almost all of them need a jack socket attaching to the violin. I have now found two systems that I can recommend.
For those who need high volume a piezo system is best. The Headway 'Band' is the best I have
found. It uses two separate pickups and straps round the violin, fastening to itself. It takes
about five seconds to fit or remove! The jack socket is integral. The only downside is that it
looks a bit ugly when it's on the violin.
